Allergy Causes
The word allergy is derived from the Greek words "allos" it
generally refers to an altered reaction. An allergy
is an abnormal immune system reaction against a normal
harmless substance. A nonallergic person would have
no reaction to this substance, but when you are allergic
to something, your body recognizes the foreign substance
and reacts by releasing chemicals which cause allergy
symptoms. Some examples, by which the substances
cause allergic reactions, are certain foods, dust,
plant pollen, molds or medicines. Allergic reaction
affects on a person's eyes, nose, throat, lungs,
skin, or gastrointestinal tract. In an attempt to
protect the body, the immune system produces antibodies
to that substance.
